Mobile World earnings 1,070 billion after 6 months, growth of 28%
Mobile World Investment Joint Stock Company (coded MWG) achieved revenue of VND31,243 billion in the first 6 months of 2017, an increase of 59% over the same period last year.
This number is mainly due to the Mobile World series when the retail chain contributed 17,459 billion dong, accounting for 55% of the 6-month revenue of the MWG. Mobile World's sales witnessed a 25% increase in the first half.
The Green Line also achieved a strong growth of 140% in revenue with VND13,381 billion. Meanwhile, the Green Department store contributed VND 402 billion to MWG revenue.
After-tax profit in the 1-H was VND1,070 billion, up 28% y / y.
This result has helped MWG accomplish 49% of its revenue and profit plan for 2017.
Also in the first half of the year, MWG opened 272 new supermarkets nationwide, bringing the total number of supermarkets serving customers to 1,527.
Open 62 more supermarkets, the series of Mobile World reached 1,013 supermarkets. The Green Line has reached 404 supermarkets after opening 148 more supermarkets this year. The Green Grocery chain has opened 62 more supermarkets since the beginning of the year, bringing the total number of retail supermarkets to 110.
